Inspire Change and Wellness Centre for Men, September 2020 - current
o Currently working as an Addictions Counsellor, for men who are admitted to this residential rehab program for addictions
o Work with a variety of clients including those currently going through the justice system, indigenous clients, LGBTQ+ individuals, those suffering from PTSD and C-PTSD, concurrent disorders, and more
o Support clients through detox, setting recovery goals, working through 12 step program

o Worked full time as a Substance Use Clinician in Surrey Memorial Hospital’s “Mental Health & Substance Use - Urgent Care Response Centre”
o Perform initial screening of referrals from health care providers/agencies, physicians, clients themselves, their families, and other sources.
o Determine appropriate treatment based on client needs, urgency of request, and best practices.

o Currently working as a youth housing support worker for youth aged 16 to 24. I previously worked this position full time, now work on a part time basis
o Work with youth who come from diverse backgrounds and face multiple barriers within the community. This includes youth who are indigenous, currently or formerly in care, are LGBTQ, homeless, have developmental disabilities, autism, substance use, mental illness, concurrent disorders, FASD and more.
o In this position I have worked in both case management roles and crisis management roles. These roles were quite different and allowed me to gain a large variety of skills and experience for working with youth.
o Support youth in developing skills, creating a plan for personal and professional goals, and taking steps to achieve those goals.
o Support youth to engage with available resources such as securing education funding for former youth in care, connecting with their local youth centres, connecting with their social worker, and applying for CLBC services.
